The Meister Player Piano was a product of Rothschild & Company below is a brief history of this Maker:
Meister Player Piano by Rothschild and Company of Chicago, Ill Est., 1895 This 65/88 note player was so popular that it was advertised in Etude Magazine from 1904 - 1912 as being sold direct to the consumer from their factory for the Whopping price of $175.00 - Back then the average consumer was paid $7 to $10.00 in salary and they could finance this Player Piano for $1.00 per week or $5.00 per month. The company produced over a 150,000 pianos: Uprights, Players and Grands. The Rothschild Piano Company met their un-timely demise in 1920
